Cord transition of dorsal columns into the dorsal column nuclei, gracilis and cuneatus. Tubers of each are located at androstral to the obex. The rhomboid fossa floor has the sulcus limitans that is bounded medially by the paired medial eminence. Caudal to the medial eminence are the vagal and hypoglossal trigones. In the mid fossa region, the facial colliculi rise from the medial eminence as an eminence formed by the 6th nucleus and 7th nerve. Cerebellar peduncles (superior, middle, inferior) support and connect the cerebellar cortex to the cord, pons and midbrain.
