Just lateral is the spinal vestibular nucleus (speckled by fiber path). The external cuneate N remains just dorsal to the descending 5th complex. Laterally, the restiform body forms dorsolateral masses to become the inferior cerebellar peduncles.

Paralleling the midline are the medial longitudinal fasciculus (MLF) just ventral to the hypolglossal nuc. , while ventral to that, down to the medial lemniscus, is the tectospinal tract so that all 3 are dorsal to the pyramids.
The hypoglossal nerve projects from the nuc. passing between the medial lemniscus and inferior olives to exit between the inferior olives and pyramids. The vagus nerve has 2 motor components, dorsal motor nucleus and ambiguus and exits dorsal to the inferior olives.
