• Movements require reciprocal contraction

• Agonist contraction & antagonist relaxation
• (eg. Flexion vs Extension)

• Reflex movement-

• Sensory afferents form loops through interneurons or directly to motoneurons.

• Tone is co-contraction of agonist & antagonist muscles

• occurring dynamically during actions.
