Reflexes are sensory induced motor responses that are NOT volitional or determined by MIND decision. The purpose of reflexes is to most rapidly respond to sensory activation without central processing.

Simple reflexes operate from a sensory input that is linked directly or near directly through the CNS by a small number of synapses. There is a lack of modulation during execution of the reflex act. The cerebellum is not a factor in simple reflexes.
Complex reflexes are sensory induced actions without volition or MIND induction but are modulated as the action transpires by processing in the CNS and the cerebellum.
