The oculomotor nucleus is positioned in the “V” formed bu the now flattened MLF. The occulomotor nucleus “GVE” contains motoneurons for eye movement except the superior oblique & lateral rectus. Also for raising the eye lid and parasympathetic functions to constrict the iris and thicken the lens. The brachium of the inferior colliculus is exposed on the surface just below the superior colliculus. This auditory tract targets the medial geniculate.
